Longtold text message policy

What we send

Longtold sends account notifications only — never marketing. If you’re a storyteller and you opt in, you’ll get a short text when a new question is waiting for you (with a link to sign in and answer it) and, at most once per question, a gentle reminder if it’s been sitting a few days. A one-time confirmation text is sent when you opt in.

How often

Message frequency depends on the pace your family chooses: up to four question alerts per week at the fastest setting, and most families get one or two. Reminders add at most one message per question.

How you opt in

Only you can opt yourself in: after signing in, you enter your own mobile number under Settings and switch on “Text me when a question is waiting.” Nobody can enroll your number for you, and we never text a number that hasn’t opted in.

How you opt out

Reply STOP to any message and the texts end immediately — or flip the toggle off in Settings. Reply HELP for help, or write hey@longtold.life.

Rates and privacy

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Your phone number is used for these notifications and nothing else: no mobile information is ever shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.
